The Walkley magazine is published monthly and the prestigious front cover is awarded to the best or most topical cartoonist or photographer in Australia and New Zealand at the time. Being awarded the front cover of the Walkley magazine comes is a highlighted prize for any professional cartoonist or photographer.
I was blessed to be tapped for the honour in 2005 and, keeping with my known reputation to not go lightly on people, decided to hit then Australian Immigration leader Amanda Vanstone. I would receive a second award soon after, when hearing from her aide that she was made physically infuriated by it.
